InsuÂrance cover
Ship owners and charÂteÂrers are exposed to a complex market enviÂronÂment with regular ups and downs. If expected reveÂnues from charter or freight contracts are lacking, this can have devasÂtaÂting conseÂquences for the parties involved in the vessel and their financiers.
In the event of a claim in the assoÂciated repair period, ongoing costs and regular payments to the mortgagee continue to accrue even though no income can be geneÂrated from the vessel.
Our insuÂrance concepts for seagoing and inland vessels enable owners and charÂteÂrers to keep the finanÂcial impact of damage to the vessel calculable and to protect their cash flow.
The cover is always based on a number of agreed days (or partial days) on which the vessel is out of service due to a claim recoÂverable under the hull insuÂrance. The amount of the daily indemÂnity can be freely deterÂmined on the basis of the income situaÂtion and also be adjusted within the term.
Dealing with interÂnaÂtional wordings for seagoing vessels from the ScanÂdiÂnaÂvian, English and German markets is no challÂenge for us. For inland shipÂping, we provide our own insuÂrance condiÂtions, but here as well we are very famiÂliar with all the stanÂdard market characteristics.
